One Feed RSS Super Charger, Video 3 Transcript
Russell: Hello everyone. Russell Wright, NetworkEmpire.com. We ae talking about the One Feed Supercharger – Jimmy Kelly, SEO maven, and Sue Bell, the marketing and online software architect dominatrix CEO of our various companies. So let’s get right into this Sue. What are you going to show us today? Let’s get into the advanced features of One Feed Supercharger.
Russell: Evilness. As much evilness as a foot.
Sue: Evilness. So like now you’ve got your feeds from the various two studios before.
Russell: Right. They should have seen those, right. They really should go back and watch the other two videos.
Sue: Yeah. Go watch those. So now at this point, you can come over here, you can grab your link location for your feed, you can check it out to make sure that it is what you want it to be. And then we can start doing evil things with it. Alright?
Russell: They should always look at their feed, right, make sure it’s properly formed and so on and so forth?
Sue: Yeah, make sure that it looks the way that you want it to look.
Russell: Yeah. Yeah. Gotcha.
Sue: So, we’ll just dig in.
Russell: Let’s dig in.
Sue: One of the places that you can put your feed is into a feed burner. You just go to Feedburner.Google.com and you just stick your feed right in there and hit next a couple of times.
Russell: Keeping in mind that this is also tied to your Google Dashboard for those of you who we’ve been talking to about that.
Sue: And then once you’ve got your feed created, you come here to publicize and there are things that you can do with it, right, thing shot, socialize, buzz boost, those kinds of things, fun ways that you can get your feed out there a little bit further.
Russell: Yeah. There other locations as well that you can stick feeds like many are the ways – we’re not going to in any regards get anywhere close to comprehensive locations. We just want to give you an idea of why feeds are important and what’s going on when you submit them.
Russell: Tell me a little bit, Sue, when you submit through things like Feed Burner and Feed Blitz, Feed blitz is a software that’s similar to Feed Burner that was designed to prepare for the possible deprecation of Feed Burner which never ended up happening. So now there are two locations for you. Feed Blitz – there’s a free version and there’s a paid version, but it also allows you to submit your feeds to its own directory and does a lot of other things with it. I use it all the time, and it also will email you every time a feed gets hit or when you submit your feed. When there’s a new publication, it allows you to connect your RSS feed to your email if you ever wanted to be notified each time something has been submitted or a new post goes out. So it has a few different features, although we don’t currently have a video on how Feed Blitz works. Maybe in the future we will, but we’re just giving you some ideas of how you can promote those links on those feeds.
Sue: Exactly. So the other thing that you can do with your feed is you can run it through RSS Submit.
Russell: This is not a free solution folks. We just wanted you to know about it. For those of you who might have an agency or are running a serious SEO firm, this is a software that’s worthwhile your investment. Again, we’re not going to leave an affiliate link or anything like that, and we’re definitely not telling you that you have to buy it. In fact, I’m going to give you a little bit of a work around here. If you cannot afford the $80 for the RSS Submit personal edition, then you can actually get the free version or even go to this page and you can look at all the RSS locations that you can manually submit your RSS feed to if you want. You can hand it to your secretary. You can hand it to your virtual assistant. What’s interesting about RSS Submit is it takes care of it for you automatically, so you create an account, put your feed in once and boom. It will automatically submit to all of the most relevant RSS directories. Now, how is that useful? Well, I’ll let Jimmy tell you how about how submitting an RSS feed such as the ones we’ve shown you to the RSS directories is useful for SEO.
Jimmy: Yeah, I mean there are all kinds of ways you can use this. You can use RSS feeds – I mean, you could take your properties, let’s say it’s a tier one property, many 2.0s have feeds that you can grab. Those automatically just take those links from your feeds and basically create, you know – it’s just kind of like curation in the sense that it’s going to replicate more links based off the work that you already did or in some cases in some of the training, the ways we show you, it’ll do backlinks to your backlinks. So it’ll automatically build out all of your domain authority for you without having to do necessarily manual one link to one link type methods. So it could be a real timesaver.
Russell: It is. And one of the things that happens is just getting really down to the nuts and the bolts of SEO. Like take some of the RSS Submit locations, I think one of them was Feed Mountain. I think it changed. Feed Mountain has a domain authority, I’m trying to think of an actual RSS directory we could go to, Sue. They all have domain authority, and sometimes the domain authority is pretty high. And when your feeds go through there, they should be getting you some juice to those links. Would you agree with that, Jimmy?
Jimmy: Oh, absolutely. You’re going to be juicing those articles up that you’re sending the feed through so it’s a very powerful method.
Russell: Yeah, just click on feeds, Sue, there.
Sue: Yeah. So there are two different kinds of places that you can go. You can either go to feed directories or you can go to feed search engines. They’re all kinds of varieties from high DA to a lower DA in both categories. But the cool thing about them —
Russell: Yeah, this is actually not that. This is where you buy content feeds we talk about. I thought it was Feed Mountain.
Sue: The cool thing about it is when you get your feeds posted there, then you’ve got the link that comes from either the directory or the search engine itself, plus the very nature of those sorts of places is people are looking for content for their blog, they’re looking for ways that they can get some fresh content on their blogs. So they’ll pick up your feed and republish it on their blogs if it’s relevant to what it is that their blog is about.
Sue: And if it looks interesting, which is why in the One Feed Supercharger, we let you combine your feeds together with other things. So if you have a blog that doesn’t have a lot of images on it, you might want to combine it with a YouTube channel so that you get more images in your blog. If you don’t actually blog really regularly, you can combine it with an authority in your market who’s not a competitor. Then if they publish more regularly, if their frequency of publish is higher, then that lends to your feed to get picked up more.
Russell: Wow, that’s a great point. So if you have a non-competitor or a relevant thematic partner or just somebody who’s in a similar topic or a related tanner topic that’s not a competitor, and they’re publishing five times more than you, with One Feed Supercharger they’re going to drag those publishing dates out there and then you’re going to get pinged. I don’t want to slide over what Sue just said because this is what I discovered quite literally by accident early on a couple of years back is steal this feed I call it. This is what happens is the reason that we know that people steal them or borrow rather, I’m not going to use the word steal, there’s nothing wrong with doing that, is because we do this on one of the layers of our networks. We generate content out of your feed, and it’s good for you more or less. I’m happy, especially when it comes to video or other things, I’m happy when the feed’s out there and it’s getting syndicated and getting juice generally speaking, there are exceptions obviously which Jimmy could get into all day like he does with traffic hospital and everything else. But when you know what you’re doing and you’re doing it right, you can welcome that theft or that borrowing of feeds and then you just literally are getting your content and links back to your content from high DA and sometimes high PA sites. Is that correct, Jimmy?
Jimmy: Yeah, absolutely. There are so many applications for this. You could even, and I think we even did a video for this with Social Explosion with that particularly. We walked them through a method that you can actually create a feed from a bookmark site in one of those videos. And it’s so powerful that you could just go nuts.
Russell: Get backlinks to the backlinks to the backlinks, yep.
Sue: Exactly. So while we’re on that topic, why don’t we show them Social Explosion?
Russell: Yeah, we’ll show them Social Explosion.
Sue: You can pick up that same feed and you can drop it into the account setting in your Social Explosion account.
Sue: You just put it right here.
Russell: So we’re jumping to a new plugin here just to make sure everybody is on page with us. This is not part of the One Feed Supercharger. This is a different product and different purchase.
Sue: Yeah. But you can drop your feed in here. I wouldn’t necessarily drop in a feed that you have braided with somebody else’s feed because what you’re going to do is you’re going to click whichever platforms you want, set your frequency and your duration, and this will automatically create social signals to that feed. The reason that this is cool is because you can braid together say two or three of your social media platforms. You can braid together your Google Plus. You can braid maybe your Facebook feed. We’ve got a whole list of places in our trainings —
Russell: Yeah, we’ll provide that list. We’re going to provide one of the lists.
Sue: Where we show you that you can go put your content and then it generates a feed. You can braid those items together. You can bring them in here and you can increase the page authority on those already high DA sites by getting some social signals directly to that page.
Sue: So the one thing that you want to be careful of which we mentioned in the other video is this feed is processed completely as soon as you submit it, as soon as you hit the submission button down here, the save changes button. So if you’ve got 100 items in this feed and you set all four social signals on high, then that’s going to process something like around 200 social signals for each item in that feed which can get to be out of hand if you’ve got a really large feed.
Russell: Got it. Yep. So in other words be careful before you hit the big red button because it’s going to parse all of them. If you’ve got 100, it’s going to schedule 100 and start posting those, so be careful. We do cover that very well in the Social Explosion help files for future reference. Also, I just wanted to add before we go, Sue, if you could talk about the Google Plus RSS Maker, it’s another Network Empire product, very, very affordable. It’s GPlusRSSMaker.com.
Sue: I think we talked about that in the last one.
Russell: Yeah, very, very quickly, you just whizzed right by it while you were going a thousand miles an hour. It’s so powerful. What this does is it takes your Google Dashboard Plus account or your biz page and it will create both a plus one and a regular RSS feed out of it. It’s the only one in the world that’s an enterprise version allowing you to create RSS feeds out of Google Plus. We know this because we were hoping someone else would build it because we needed it. Why? As Jimmy will tell you, it has a domain authority of 100 and there are all kinds of ways to utilize Google Plus. And so it’ll just turn into a feed, and just like Sue showed you in video two or one, you just click that feed and grab it. It takes about 30 seconds to make a feed out of any Google Plus account. You grab that feed and you can just use it in One Feed Supercharger. So it’s a little bit different than submitting it to a place for promotion. However, it’s very, very related because by generating these feeds, you’re also promoting your Google Plus page with your links on it. This is what Jimmy was saying about going crazy, that’s where you’re really starting to stack right there. I mean, that literally is a stack. It’s a mini stack when you use the One Feed Supercharger with our Google Plus product. And when you put Social Explosion on top of that, you’ve literally done a 3 to 4 layer stack right there automatically. And it’s safe and sustainable, so that’s where you start getting crazy.
Sue: The other thing that I want to mention with social explosion because I had a couple of questions about this recently is not only does it read the feed entirely right off the bat, but then as new items are posted to this feed, they will also get socially exploded.
Russell: So it’s one giant explosion and then any single post one at a time after that.
Russell: So for example, if I had 50 feeds or links on a feed and that initial kick went out, I’m going to see those tokens go down the subscription. But then if I publish three more posts over the next five days, it’s only going to hit those. So if I change the frequency between the time I kicked off and the time I have new publishes, it’ll change the frequency, right, and duration?
Russell: Okay. So I could go high on the kickoff and low on the one at a time?
Russell: Okay, cool. Yeah. So this is three things we’ve talked about, all Network Empire products, but the focus being One Feed Supercharger allows you to organize and target those keywords meeting the standards that Sue Bell and Jimmy Kelley have been laying out in the variety of different trainings we’ve been giving you, and there’s really nothing quite like this that I’ve seen before which is why we had to build it. And you can see that we have a habit of building things that aren’t out there to be used in ways that are pretty lethal. You guys have anything to add to this? I think this is amazing, this is great. Perfect.
Sue: I think that’s it.
Russell: Okay. If you’re interested in the One Feed Supercharger, please go to www.OneFeedSupercharger.com and you can get it. If you’re inside the director’s cut and if you are with the community inside OMG, you’re going to need to go to the locations that you’re aware of inside of there and where you will be given a specific instruction in order to purchase this. That’s alright. I can edit that out. I actually just gave myself a dual ending there so that I could have two different endings. We’re good. Thanks guys.
